CHARACTERISTICS OF TEAK
- Teak furniture is an excellent choice for outdoor living and with regular maintenance will provide years of loyal service. RH offers an array of Golden Care® products for protecting and restaining Natural teak as well as touch-up kits designed to match our teak finishes.
- Natural Teak – Our Natural finish highlights the beauty and grain of solid teak. Due to natural variations in the wood, each product and finish may vary slightly. When exposed to sun and rain, the color of Natural teak will soften to a handsome silvery-grey shade depending on the amount of sun exposure.
- Newly purchased Natural teak will experience oil surfacing. These areas, which look like a water mark, can be removed by gentle washing. Fabric cushions stained by the natural surfacing of teak oil can be cleaned with OxiClean™ or Simple Green® and a soft brush or a power washing of 1200-1400 PSI.
- Finished Teak – Our finished teak is created using a wire brush with a pigment-based finish. Imperfections such as hairline cracks may develop over time. If left uncovered, the finish will fade and wear through, exposing unfinished teak to the elements. Exposed teak will begin to acquire the beautiful silvery-grey patina that is typical of untreated teak. We recommend that these pieces be protected from incremental weather by our furniture covers.

Available in a wide variety of designs and colours, Sling is a generic term for a woven, open-mesh fabric made from a vinyl coated, high strength polyester yarn.PNZ uses Batyline and Twitchell outdoor slings for the Outdoor Sling Furniture Collection. It consisting of a polyester fiber covered by a coating of PVC, making it nearly impossible to tear. It is 100% synthetic and resistant to rot and mildew. Nenuphar Fibre: is made entirely from high density polyethylene (HDPE). This means it is extremely durable and resistant to all weather conditions, including strong sunlight, rain and temperatures ranging from +80 °C all the way down to –70 °C, making it suitable for exposure to the outdoor elements all year round, anywhere in the world. As well as being mold-resistant, it is also non-toxic and 100% recyclable.
Historically, slings are found combined with powder-coated aluminum frames. However, due to its inherent good looks, exceptional comfort and practicality, PNZ also has designed products that combine sling with both teak and stainless steel frames. One of the main benefits of sling is comfort. When stretched taught between two side frames, sling provides a yielding seating surface that moulds to your individual body shape. Our Ferrari Batyline or Twitchell woven vinyl is resistant to fading, mildew and wear & tear under the most severe weather conditions.
For quick production, PNZ have kept standard outdoor slings with different colours and patterns in stock. We also accept Custom Use Material.
